Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions seeks a Signing Exact English (SEE) Interpreter for an in-person elementary school assignment in Covington, WA, for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with consistent communication access throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will hold an active WA DOH Sign Language Interpreter license, be proficient in SEE, and collaborate with teachers and service providers to support educational access.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State DOH Sign Language Interpreter License.
• Proficiency in Signing Exact English (SEE).
• K–12 or educational interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into Signing Exact English (SEE).
• Voice interpret SEE into spoken English as needed.
• Provide communication access during classroom instruction, meetings, activities, and daily school interactions.
• Review lesson plans and terminology to prepare for interpreting assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and related service providers.
• Maintain student confidentiality and professional interpreting standards.
