Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist. The role involves directing projects on sediment remediation across riverine, coastal, and port sites, and collaborating with federal and public sector clients.

Independent work and team leadership are key components, with travel as needed. The candidate should bring strong expertise in regulatory program steps for contaminated sediment sites, oversee technical analyses, and communicate complex evaluations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required with 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs.
• Lead teams on sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Act as task manager for complex sediment sites with SME collaboration.
• Liaise with clients, public, and outside consultants on technical evaluations.
• Ensure documents meet regulations and policy through review and leadership.
