Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead projects on sediment remediation. The role involves independent work and supervising engineers and scientists on projects for Federal and Public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port sites.
• Understand principles of sediment and contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modelling, dredge approaches, and remedial design.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on components of complex sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
