Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead and contribute on sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients. The role requires independent work and team leadership, with knowledge of CERCLA, GLLA, and regulatory steps.

Travel up to 10% is required; a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience are expected, with equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation solutions.
• Lead team on sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
• Provide support for environmental data analyses and CERCLA/regulatory processes.
• Coordinate with clients, public, and outside consultants.
• Ensure technical documents meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Mentor junior staff on sediment remediation projects.
