Job summary

CDM Smith is actively seeking a mid- to senior‑level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. The role emphasizes independent work and team leadership in complex sites, including CAP modelling, dredge approaches, and remedial action design.

The candidate should bring CERCLA/GLLA regulatory familiarity, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to liaison with clients and outside consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7 years related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Equivalent related experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port sites.
• Lead teams of engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects for Federal/Public clients.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager, communicating technical strategy to clients and coordinating with SMEs.
• Coordinate with clients and outside consultants; ensure compliance with regulations and policy.
