Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist/Geologist to lead and contribute on sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients. The role requires independent work and team leadership across engineers and scientists, with strong design, evaluation, and regulatory knowledge.

Travel up to 10% may be required. A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience are expected, with additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sediment remediation projects, independently and in teams.
• Strong understanding of CERCLA, GLBA or related regulatory processes.
• Ability to communicate technical results to non-experts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sediment remediation technologies and design approaches for riverine, coastal, and port sites.
• Lead technical teams to prepare and review reports meeting regulations and policy.
• Interact with clients and outside consultants to convey technical evaluations.
