Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead teams on sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients. The role involves evaluating remediation technologies and developing designs for diverse site settings, with travel expectations.

You will apply principles of sediment transport, environmental site assessment, and remedial action design, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with clients and SMEs to deliver technically sound

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port settings.
• Understand sediment transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial design/construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as task manager on complex sediments sites and communicate technical strategy to client and SMEs.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical information to ensure regulatory compliance.
