Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer in the United States. The candidate will lead teams on sediment remediation projects for federal and public sector clients, evaluating technologies and designing remediation strategies for riverine, coastal, and port settings.

Travel may be required. Ideal candidates will hold a PE license, have a Civil/Environmental/Chemical engineering degree, and 7 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and preparing designs for various settings.
• Understanding principles of sediment and contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remedial action design.
• Supporting mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serving as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites and communicating technical strategy to clients.
• Leading staff in preparing/reviewing technical information to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
