Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead projects for federal and public sector clients. The role requires independent work and team leadership, with experience on riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, or port settings.

Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential for success. Bachelor's degree and about 7 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port site settings.
• Lead other staff in preparing, reviewing, and communicating technical information to ensure compliance with regulations and policy.
• Provide support for mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Act as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites and communicate technical strategies to clients and SMEs.
