Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. You will diagnose issues, perform routine inspections, read blueprints and diagrams, and complete documentation on time while ensuring safety at customer sites.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, with a valid driver’s license for positions involving travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsabilités

• Perform service and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
