Job summary
TEKsystems, based in Santa Ana, CA, seeks a Security Systems Technician to split focus 75% commercial installation/service and 25% residential security deployments. You will install, program, and troubleshoot advanced integrated systems, including fire, access, and IP video, tying them into Alarm.com ecosystems.
The role requires ACE Card and 3–5 years of field experience in low-voltage, security, or commercial fire alarm work, with on-site work in Santa Ana.
Qualifications
- Direct, hands-on programming and field experience with listed platforms.
- Experience with commercial fire alarm control panels and access systems.
- Knowledge of cloud-based access control and mesh radio networks.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial infrastructure installation, programming, wiring, and service of mid-to-enterprise environments.
- Deliver premium residential smart-home installations.
- Integrate fire panels, relays, electric locks, and IP camera streams into a cloud matrix.
- Program and deploy AES-IntelliNet mesh networks and related radios.
- Troubleshoot field hardware faults, wiring issues, and wireless interference.
- Ensure installations comply with building codes and life-safety standards.
