TEKsystems is seeking a Mid-Level to Expert Low Voltage Security Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service fire alarms, intrusion systems, access control, and video surveillance across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The role emphasizes independent work, safety, and high-quality installations.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with low-voltage platforms, strong diagnostic skills, and valid driver’s license for travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing low-voltage security systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, access control, burglar alarms, and video surveillance solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and service low-voltage security systems.
• Program and commission fire alarm, intrusion alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems.
• Troubleshoot wiring, equipment, and system performance issues.
• Conduct testing and inspections to ensure proper system functionality and code compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Provide customer training and technical support following installations.
• Complete service calls, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and system changes.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
