Job summary

Interface Systems is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician to diagnose and resolve issues across Fire Alarm, TCP/IP networks, Video Surveillance, Access Control and Wireless solutions. You will install, service, and test intrusion, fire and video security systems, cabling and related components in field locations, with company-provided tools and a company vehicle.

You will train customers, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors on projects while adhering to OSHA safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical/business school preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• NICET certification is a plus.
• Verifiable field experience in electronic security.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Proficient with telecom, data, security and wireless systems terminology.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
• Able to pass state and federal background checks to become a registered security installer.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather; travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP integrated systems.
• Work in the field with efficient methods to solve service issues.
• Train customers on Interface provided systems.
• Maintain inventory with physical counts and accuracy.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling; firestop cable penetrations.
• Adhere to OSHA health & safety policies.
• Coordinate with customers, end-users and vendors on projects.
• Operate company vehicle and keep tools in good condition.
• Be available for rotating on-call duties.
