Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities and experience. This position will work closely with our service team, and clients to ensure our critical life safety systems are repaired in an efficient manner to maintain their overall performance.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to train other technicians on equipment, company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in a repair or systems technician role within the Fire Life and Safety industry.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 code requirements.
• OSHA 10 Certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional, addressable, voice, smoke control, networked solutions).
• Use troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions.
• Ensure maximum detection and alarm coverage during repairs.
• Produce repair reports for NFPA compliance and billing.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide support and guidance to other technicians.
