Job summary

TRITECH Communications seeks a Sales Engineer (Design Engineer) to provide pre-sales support and bridge sales with technical staff. The role focuses on design/build proposals within our Security division, leveraging CAD drawings, budgets, and specifications.

You will work with account managers to translate customer needs into solutions, coordinate with architects and trades, and help develop cost proposals while maintaining client communications. Experience in IT/security is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in Electronics, Engineering, or similar field.
• Experience in the IT field is required.
• Vendor certifications such as Genetec or S2 are highly encouraged.
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology design discussions with business units and end users to meet goals.
• Develop preliminary system design drawings, construction documents and equipment specs.
• Create rough-order-of-magnitude budgets and cost proposals.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and trades.
• Prepare and send sales proposals to clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and design team.
• Verify system functionality with project teams.
