Job summary

TRITECH Communications Inc. is seeking a Sales Design Engineer to bridge sales and technology within our Audio-Visual division.

You will support pre-sales activities, work with account managers to translate customer needs into feasible designs, and develop budgets and proposals for complex AV systems. The role requires collaboration with architects and trades, proficiency in CAD and Excel, and a drive to stay current with evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
• CTS and CTS-D certification preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong planning, organizing and time-management abilities.
• Self-starter with ability to manage daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology design discussions with end users and account managers.
• Develop preliminary system design drawings, construction documents, equipment specs and cost proposals.
• Create rough-order-of-magnitude budget for proposals.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP trades and design teams.
• Prepare and send sales proposals to clients after approval.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and the design team.
• Verify system functionality with Program Manager and project team.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on current and new technologies.
• Share lessons learned with sales and technical staff on pre/post sales.
• Collaborate with AV and Security design engineers and other disciplines.
