Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) seeks a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of security systems across projects, ensuring safety, quality, and code compliance. You will collaborate with the project team to meet milestones, perform site walk-throughs, and assess hazards.

Responsibilities include reviewing information, planning resources, coordinating with customers, overseeing kickoff meetings, and guiding on-site training while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2 Industry certifications (NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.) (preferred).
• Certifications/trainings can be obtained during the first year of employment.
• Strong communication skills and general construction or mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
• PC proficiency (Windows) and Excel knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions.
• Evaluate problems, plan resources, and coordinate with Project Manager.
• Review system functionality and safety hazards with the customer.
• Oversee kickoff meetings and monitor project milestones.
• Lead safe work practices and ensure plan compliance on-site.
• Perform site evaluations, inspections, and quality assurances.
• Create punch lists, coordinate training, and finalize documentation.
• Basic programming and network connection of security systems.
• Mentor less experienced team members and support on-call service.
