Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of security systems on all assigned projects. You will work with the project team to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry codes and best practices.

Responsibilities include reviewing information with stakeholders, planning, coordinating resources, customer reviews, kick-off meetings, and site evaluations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2 industry certifications preferred (NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.).
• Certifications and trainings can be obtained during the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions.
• Plan projects, coordinate resources, PPE, access, and equipment with PM.
• Review system functionality and plan with customers; conduct site walk-throughs.
• Lead kick-off meetings and verify milestones and safety hazards.
• Execute project plan with safe work practices and quality assurance.
• Inspect installations, correct discrepancies, mentor team members.
• Create punch lists, test systems, coordinate training, finalize docs.
• Perform basic programming and connect systems to networks.
• Support on-site training for less experienced staff.
• Close projects with customer sign-off and documentation.
