Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with commercial clients, setting up and programming integrated security fire and security systems. The role also involves dismantling and reconstructing equipment as needed, while ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will read blueprints, follow schematics, operate hand and power tools, and coordinate with authorities. Experienced installers may lead teams and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 3+ years electrical/electronic equipment experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle safely.
• Excellent customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Install and program integrated security fire and security systems onsite for commercial customers.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment when required.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments as needed.
• Lead smaller installation teams on larger projects.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
