Job summary

Convergint Federal seeks an Install Technician II to lead the deployment of security systems, including access control and video surveillance. You will install, configure, and test hardware, cabling, and software, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security installations, relevant certifications, and the ability to read blueprints and life-safety requirements. Travel ~25% and active clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational electronics training preferred.
• 5+ years in installation and maintenance of security systems (access control, video, intrusion).
• Product-specific certifications helpful (Lenel S2, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, Software House, AMAG).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems including access control and video surveillance.
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling per standards.
• Integrate components and program equipment per specs.
• Conduct system tests, inspections, and document configurations.
• Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
