Job summary

Convergint Federal is seeking a Service Technician III to install, maintain, and troubleshoot comprehensive security systems for federal clients. You will work within the Field Operations Department, delivering high-quality service and ensuring client satisfaction.

The role requires extensive field work, strong problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and project teams. Travel is expected, with 25% to 35% availability for site assignments and installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience installing and maintaining security systems; 100K+ project experience.
• Certifications: Lenel S2, DMP, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, Software House, AMAG preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain applicable state/local licenses as required by law.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams; basic networking and OS support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Conduct system upgrades and modifications to meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Provide remote and on-site support; train clients on system operation and maintenance.
