Job summary

M.C. Dean in Charleston, SC is seeking a Security Systems Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit.

This role designs, integrates, and maintains physical security and IT systems for mission-critical environments across federal, local, and commercial customers. You will collaborate with design, installation, and O&M teams to install, test, and sustain systems, implement security standards, and lead technical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree with 0+ years or Bachelor's with 2+ years experience preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and remediate complex systems availability, performance, and information assurance issues in a mission-critical environment.
• Assist with analysis, engineering, and implementation of system improvements and deployments.
• Document designs, infrastructure changes, and SOPs.
• Perform security updates to hardware and software to maintain security posture.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies with industry partners to meet customer needs.
