Job summary

M.C. Dean in the United States is seeking an Engineer 2 to join its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, surveillance, IT systems, and perimeter defense for federal, local and commercial customers. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with engineers and field teams, develop BOM and forecasts for bids, and support on-site surveys and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of related experience.

Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure security systems meet standards.
Prepare technical submittals (Product Data, O&M, Warranty) for security projects.
Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and field technicians to document solutions.
Support lifecycle of large-scale construction projects on site with field teams.
Coordinate design reviews and ensure timely delivery of drawings and specs.
Lead pre-installation testing and commissioning of security equipment.
Develop BOMs and forecast engineering time for bids.
Provide in-person site surveys and field troubleshooting support.
