Job summary

M.C. Dean in the United States is seeking a Network Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit.

The role supports design, integration, operation, and maintenance of electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial customers, including intrusion detection, access control, and video systems. You will work with field engineers and senior staff on designs, testing, maintenance, and performance analysis, including 24/7 on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, CS, IT or related field; 2+ years progressive experience.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and security implications for networks.
• Knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools, and architectures.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with project management and systems design processes.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports measurement results and present findings to senior staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Develop network designs for SLA classifications and prepare design documents.
• Troubleshoot network issues and assist in security problem resolution.
• Prepare test plans and lead testing and commissioning activities.
• Provide on-call support and maintenance planning.
