Job Title: Security Supervisor (Full Time, Days)

Location: University Of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health, Bel Air

Job Summary:

Responsible for protecting the hospital, its assets, patients, team members, and visitors. Duties include patrolling hospital grounds, preventing fire, theft, vandalism, and other crimes, unlocking and securing hospital buildings, responding to security needs, supervising security officers, providing performance feedback, resolving operational issues, and interacting with patients, families, and visitors of all ages.

Qualifications:

1. Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; active BLS certification required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred; IAHSS certification within one year of hire.
2. Work Experience: At least five years of related experience (military, security, law enforcement, etc.) or related Associate’s degree; substitution of education, experience, and training is possible.
3. Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret security reports; solve practical problems; work under pressure; intervene with physically aggressive individuals; make independent decisions; and lead others effectively.

Additional Information:

Compensation: Pay range: $25.49 - $35.68, based on experience.
