Job summary

Target in Vermont is hiring a Security Specialist within Assets Protection. You will help keep guests and team members safe, protect merchandise, and document incidents using Target's case management systems.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment at store level. You'll engage in de-escalation, use surveillance tools, and support store leadership while upholding Target's safety policies and culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure and/or other legal requirements if applicable.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners.
• Effective communication skills; work independently or with a team.
• Capable of handling a fast-paced environment and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Resolve issues and document incidents to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Promote a safe, secure store environment and support crisis response.
• Use de-escalation techniques and security systems to handle incidents.
• conduct merchandise theft recoveries and assist with theft apprehension as needed.
• Submit documentation in the case management system following AP policies.
