Job summary

Target Security Specialist in New York offers hands-on experience in safeguarding guests, team members and merchandise while applying intelligence-led tactics to deter theft and respond to incidents. You will greet guests, assist with needs, document cases in our case management system, and collaborate with store leadership to maintain safety and a welcoming store environment.

You must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet any local requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to de-escalate and handle difficult situations.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to learn and follow AP policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents, document events, and support theft prevention.
• Operate and monitor surveillance and case management systems.
• Collaborate with store leadership to maintain safety and compliance.
