Job summary

Target Security Specialist role open in a fast-paced retail environment. You will engage with guests, help them find products, and maintain a safe store atmosphere while supporting fellow team members.

The job requires flexibility, strong communication, and adherence to AP policies; eligibility includes being 18+ with a high school diploma. Training provided to cover crisis response, de-escalation, and use of security systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by welcoming guests and assisting them
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner
• Use Target's video surveillance system as required
• Adhere to AP policies and procedures
• Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and communicate trends
