Job summary

Target Security Specialist plays a hands-on role in protecting guests, team, and assets while delivering a friendly shopping experience. You will engage with guests, monitor store activities, and respond to incidents using de-escalation skills and Target's surveillance tools.

This role requires 18+, high school diploma, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, flexible shifts, and the willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet state/local licensure and/or other legal requirements
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices
• Effective communication skills
• Work independently and with a team
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting them
• Assist guests in finding products and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
• Document security incidents promptly using case management systems
• Respond to security incidents and maintain a safe environment across the store
• Assist with merchandise theft recoveries and report trends to AP policies
• Operate Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activities
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and AP procedures
• Perform duties based on business needs
