Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members and assets in a busy retail environment. You will greet guests, assist with needs, and help maintain a safe store atmosphere.

The role requires comfort with physical tasks, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Training will cover de-escalation, incident documentation, and surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards store-wide.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Use Target's video surveillance system and case management systems.
