Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members, and merchandise in a fast-paced store environment. You will participate in crisis response, perform risk assessments, and support loss prevention while maintaining excellent customer service.

This role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma, and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training is provided, and you will use security systems and reporting tools daily.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting them.
• Help guests locate products and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• Document security incidents accurately in the case management system.
• Respond to incidents and maintain a safe and secure store environment.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and support theft prevention.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system and follow AP policies.
• Support team efforts and adapt to business needs.
