Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to help keep guests and team members safe while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. The role involves responding to incidents, documenting cases, and collaborating with store leadership to prevent theft and ensure merchandise availability.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma, and can work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training will be provided to build skills in crisis response and de-escalation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming guest experience and assist with needs or issues to ensure easy shopping.
• Respond to security incidents and document them accurately in the case management system.
• Conduct merchandise receipt checks and theft prevention activities following AP policies.
• Utilize Target's video surveillance system and de-escalation tactics as needed.
• Promote a safe, ethical, and compliant store environment for guests and team members.
