Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members and assets in a fast-paced store environment. You will monitor activities, respond to incidents, and document outcomes using our case management system. This role emphasizes de-escalation, vigilance, and teamwork.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma, and can work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Training will cover security procedures, safety culture, and the use of surveillance tools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience by greeting guests and helping them find what they need.
• Respond to security incidents with timely documentation in the case management system.
• Use de-escalation techniques to resolve guest concerns and prevent theft or disruption.
• Monitor and operate Target's video surveillance system to protect guests, team members and assets.
• Maintain safety and security standards across the store and assist peers as needed.
