Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help keep guests, team members, and the store safe. You will greet guests, assist with needs, resolve issues, and document incidents using our case management system in alignment with AP policies.

You’ll learn Target's video surveillance system, respond to incidents, conduct theft recoveries, and maintain safe store standards including exterior property. Flexibility with nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs.
• Resolve guest issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Document security incidents accurately in the case management system and follow AP policy.
• Respond to incidents timely and maintain safe and secure standards storewide.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
