Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Denton, TX to protect guests, team members and the brand. You will apply intelligence-led tactics, crisis response, de-escalation, and operate Target's video surveillance and case-management tools to document incidents.

In a fast-paced, physically demanding store environment, you’ll work with a team to resolve issues, maintain safety, and uphold store policies. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet all guests and provide a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests locate items or resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest interaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture throughout the store and exterior areas.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and document them in the case management system.
• Use de-escalation techniques to resolve incidents across the store.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and assist with theft prevention as needed.
• Perform merchandise checks to prevent loss while adhering to AP policies.
