Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Solutions Estimator in North Charleston, SC to bridge junior estimators and senior staff, preparing cost estimates for large-scale RFPs and complex scopes. The role focuses on programmatic customers with cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, procurement, and project management.

You will contribute to pricing strategies and project feasibility while staying updated on regulations and pricing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or system design for physical security projects.
• Experience with large-scale RFPs, greenfield opportunities, and programmatic customer projects.
• Ability to read and analyze construction documents, drawings, specifications, and technical scopes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes.
• Bridge the gap between entry-level estimating and senior professionals, taking ownership of medium-to-large opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management to reflect accurate costs and timelines.
• Evaluate project scope, interpret blueprints, and analyze costs for pricing decisions.
• Source pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and partners to meet specifications.
• Provide mentorship on estimating tools, processes, and standards.
