The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift and personnel, providing security and a safe environment while ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and Live! assets.
Responsibilities
- Manage programs, processes, and procedures to ensure the protection of Maryland Live assets, including the safety and security of guests and team members. Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss-time injuries.
- Communicate and implement departmental procedures in accordance with the director and internal controls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Security Department training.
- Investigate incidents and/or guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
- Complete and investigate the first report on injury.
- Provide input and assist with the preparation of performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement.
- At least three (3) years of work experience in a casino environment.
- Four (4) years of degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking exposure.
- Must be able to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other applicable regulatory entities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability and energy to move around a large resort with a sense of urgency.
- Alertness at all times.
- Dexterity for daily activities and emergencies.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
- Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
- Ability to run, stoop, bend, and reach.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to ride a bicycle and operate vehicles such as Segways or golf carts.
