The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift and personnel, ensuring security and a safe environment while protecting guests, team members, and Live! assets in the absence of the Shift Manager. The role includes assisting the Shift Manager with related duties and tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with managing programs, processes, and procedures to ensure the protection of Maryland Live assets, guest and team member safety, and security.
2. Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
3. Communicate and implement department procedures in accordance with the director and internal controls.
4. Assist in developing and implementing Security Department training.
5. Investigate incidents and/or guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
6. Complete and investigate first reports on injuries.
7. Provide input and assist with performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Must-Haves:

• One to three years’ experience in Security or Law Enforcement as a lead or supervisor.
• A two-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
• Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other applicable regulatory entities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability and energy to move throughout a 300,000+ sq ft casino with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to go up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and use elevators.
