The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift and personnel, providing security and a safe environment while ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and Live! assets in the absence of the Shift Manager. The role also involves assisting the Shift Manager with related duties and tasks.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Assist with managing programs, processes, and procedures to ensure the protection of Maryland Live assets, including the safety and security of guests and team members.
- Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
- Communicate and implement department procedures in accordance with the director and internal controls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Security Department training.
- Investigate incidents and/or guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
- Complete and investigate first reports on injuries.
- Provide input and assist with the preparation of performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- One to three years’ experience in Security or Law Enforcement as a lead or supervisor.
- A two-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to alcohol and smoking.
- Must be able to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other applicable regulatory entities, or as per Live!’s standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability and energy to move throughout the over 300,000 square feet casino with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to go up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and use elevators.
