Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• Experience in casino security, military, or police preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to present information to groups of managers and stakeholders
• Ability to interact with guests and staff and resolve conflicts diplomatically
• Staff development and training programs experience
• Rewards and recognition program experience to maximize employee engagement
• Evaluates team members and delivers feedback regarding performance
• Provides staffing recommendations including interviewing and hiring and scheduling
• Manages work procedures and expedites workflow
• Provides recommendations for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling)

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and daily management of a designated shift in the Security department.
• Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
• Assist in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; support budget initiatives; report budget concerns.
• Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department standards and programs.
• Serve as the Security Manager on duty in the absence of the Security Shift Manager.
• Enforce internal control policies including underage gambling and drinking laws.
• Maintain safety and inspection reports for the property.
• Conduct regular security post inspections.
• Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
• Respond to guests and employees concerns and solve problems professionally.
• Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards.
• Interact with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within area of responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
