Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Security Manager on duty to oversee daily security operations and staff on a shift, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional service across the property.

You will coordinate with management, maintain logs, prepare incident reports, enforce internal controls, and support budgeting while protecting assets and guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; or three years of casino Security, military, or police experience; or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to present information to groups of managers and the public.

Responsibilities

  • supervise staff and daily management of a designated shift in Security.
  • Coordinate scheduling with management and focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in budget processes and report budget concerns.
  • Promote outstanding customer service and ensure standards are met.
  • Serve as Security Manager on duty when the Shift Manager is absent.
  • Enforce internal controls and comply with underage gambling and drinking laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspection reports; conduct post inspections.
  • Prepare security incident reports and maintain logs.
  • Respond to guest and employee concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ensure security staff adhere to uniforms and grooming standards.
  • Interact with regulatory, fire/rescue, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report potential issues to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Security department. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Serves as the Security Manager on duty in the absence of the Security Shift Manager
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures including but not limited too; underage gambling and drinking laws
  • Maintain safety and inspections reports for the property
  • Conduct regular security post inspections
  • Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
  • Respond to guests and employees concerns and complaints and solve their problems with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with department and company standards.
  • Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required.; or three years of casino Security, military, or police experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within the department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.
  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
