Job summary

Caesars Entertainment in Mississippi (Horseshoe Tunica) is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead security officers and ensure guest and asset protection. You will train staff, allocate workload, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years related experience, and the ability to read procedures, write reports, and address groups. You will manage safety compliance, support budgeting, and maintain communications across the security team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Walk/stand 80% of the time; lift up to 40 pounds; physically fit for doors, guest protection and assets.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and evaluate personnel attitudes and abilities.
• Interact with guests and team members in a professional manner.
• Assign workstations and department radios as required.
• Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Promote understanding of and compliance with all procedures essential to effective control within the organization.
• Convey the intent and spirit of orders and directives to subordinates.
• Ensure proper execution of job duties in the absence of the Manager of Security.
• Ensure staff understand duties and perform them promptly in compliance with company policies.
• Assist, develop and monitor achievement of long and short-term goals.
• Assist in the preparation of annual security budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of equipment within Security.
• Supervise and maintain continuity of communications at the security control podium.
• Conduct daily shift briefings; ensure emergency equipment is functioning.
• Ensure proper coverage of personnel during shifts, breaks and lunches.
• Follow procedures for notifications of major incidents including crimes and injuries.
• Handle Public Relations calls.
• Support and maintain Horseshoe Casino’s courtesy guidelines.
• Attendance is essential; varying schedules may be required.
