Job summary

Westhab Inc. in Bronx, NY seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead security operations at a family homeless shelter. Reports to the Security Manager; Covid-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities include training staff, monitoring access control, conducting rounds, emergency response, and preparing monthly security reports. A NYS Security Guard License, Fire Guard License (F80), CPI and surveillance knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License, Fire Guard License (F80), and CPI certification.
• Knowledge of security systems and video surveillance.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions based on facts.

Responsibilities

• Train new security staff in facility procedures.
• Monitor access control, magnetometer, and X-ray usage.
• Conduct rounds to prevent incidents and report hazards.
• Respond to emergencies and assist staff.
• Complete monthly security reports and inspections.
• Oversee staff scheduling and respond to sick calls.
• Maintain client and staff safety and provide crisis intervention.
• Assist in fire drills and monitor equipment.
• Review logs and incident reports for accuracy.
