Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a Security Supervisor for a residential re-entry center. You will coordinate administrative and operational security on a specific shift, leading staff to ensure complete coverage and adherence to post orders.

You will train new employees, manage schedules, resolve issues, and document daily activities, logs, and reports while maintaining safety and security across housing areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
• Ability to write legible reports in English with correct grammar.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands and complies with post orders for the assigned post.
• Ensures resident counts are conducted.
• Directly leads Monitor staff and residents on the shift and develops work schedules, monitors post assignments, and approves leave requests.
• Maintains daily logs, phone, resident in/out, visitors in/out, and facility checks.
• Provides adequate staffing and fills in as needed during short staffing.
• Coordinates with Security Manager or Facility Director on issues and investigations.
• Monitors safety practices and ensures incident reports are prepared.
• Attends staff meetings and communicates effectively with staff, inmates, visitors and the public.
