Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot and service commercial security systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and card access systems. You will be set up to work independently from a remote location and provide top-tier service to resolve building inefficiencies.

You will locate and alleviate trouble with equipment, coordinate inspections, and prepare trouble order forms.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience installing and inspecting/servicing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service commercial security systems including alarms, CCTV, and access systems.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment, readjust, test operation.
• Coordinate inspections/installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.

What you will do

A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. You will advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections. You will repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems and other security equipment. This Technician will be set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently from a remote location. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How you will do it

As a Commercial Service Technician you will locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation; prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. You will also coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Service Technicians will be responsible for the service and repair Commercial security/Fire Alarm/CCTV/Card Access systems. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for

Hiring hourly rate

Hourly range: $21-30 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
