Glenmont Job Corps Center in Glenmont, NY is seeking an experienced Security & Protective Services Instructor to join our Career Technical Training team. You will teach, mentor, and prepare the next generation of security professionals for successful careers.

The role requires one year of teaching or related experience, NYS certification/licensure/accreditation, and a valid driver's license. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:45 PM, salary $65,000 annually.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or related field required.
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in New York state, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
• For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization.
• Previous Job Corps experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Drivers License and meet company insurability requirements.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance. (Depending upon trade)

Responsibilities

• Teach Industry Skills — Deliver engaging, hands-on security and protective services training.
• Prepare Students for Certification — Help students develop the skills needed to earn industry-recognized credentials and complete their training.
• Mentor Future Professionals — Guide students in developing professionalism, responsibility, confidence, and career readiness.
• Track Student Success — Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and provide individualized support to help students achieve their goals.
• Support Career Placement — Help students explore employment opportunities and prepare for successful careers in the security industry.
