Job summary

Glenmont Job Corps Center in Glenmont, NY is seeking a motivated Career Preparation Program (CPP) Instructor to help newly enrolled students begin their Job Corps journey. You will deliver engaging instruction, coach and mentor students, and support their transition into career training.

The role blends classroom teaching with personalized guidance, building career goals and plans, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records to ensure CPP completion and student success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree from accredited school preferred.
• Experience in group facilitation or teaching or Job Corps preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license required and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Teach and prepare Career Preparation instruction and help students develop skills they'll need throughout Job Corps.
• Help students identify interests, establish career goals, and develop individualized achievement plans.
• Track performance, identify students who may need additional support, and help keep them moving toward CPP completion.
• Coach and mentor students, building positive professional relationships and fostering confidence and accountability.
• Create an organized, engaging learning environment with clear expectations.
• Help students transition from CPP into academics and Career Technical Training.
• Maintain required student documentation and program records.
