Job summary

Eastern Security Services, Inc. in Syracuse is seeking a Security Project Manager to oversee end-to-end deployments for residential, commercial and enterprise clients.

This 100% onsite role coordinates projects involving Motorola, Alarm.com, Kidde, Verkada, DSC and other leading platforms, managing scope, budgets, schedules and field resources.

Ideal candidates are proven leaders with strong communication skills, willing to travel regionally and establish safe, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to travel regionally & work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Successful drug screen and background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of security and fire system installation projects in the Syracuse area.
• Handle advanced service calls and technical escalations; perform basic IT troubleshooting.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, field technicians, subcontractors, and management.
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety and quality, and address on-site challenges.
• Manage project schedules, procurement, budgeting, and resource allocation.

As a Security Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing successful system deployments, managing project scope, and providing excellent service to our high-profile residential, commercial, and enterprise clientele.

You will manage and lead projects involving a variety of advanced security solutions, including but not limited to systems from Motorola, Alarm.com, Kidde, Verkada, DSC, and other industry-leading platforms.

Salary Range

$80,000 per year – $100,000 per year, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of commercial and large residential security and fire system installation projects throughout the Syracuse area and surrounding regions
• Handle advanced service calls and technical escalations, performing basic IT troubleshooting, network configuration, and server replacements when required
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, field technicians, subcontractors, and central management to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, maintain quality control, and address technical challenges on-site
• Manage project schedules, material procurement, budgeting, and field resource allocation for maximum efficiency
• Ensure all installations conform to applicable codes, industry regulations, and client specifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites – occasionally in inclement weather
• Comfortable navigating construction environments, ladder work areas, and mechanical spaces during site walks
• Must maintain a clean, professional image with external and internal customers
• Ability to travel regionally & work extended hours as required to keep projects on schedule
• Must possess and maintain a clear driver's license and safe driving record
• Successfully clear drug screen and background check to meet industry and security licensing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, 2-year associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent military experience
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in the physical security industry (or similar field) serving as a Technician, Sales Specialist, or Project Manager
• Hands-on familiarity or design experience with platforms such as Motorola, Alarm.com, Kidde, Verkada, DMP, and DSC systems
• OSHA certification (OSHA 10/30) and/or NICET Level 1 or higher is a plus
• Familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus
• Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills
