Job summary

Eastern Security Services in Syracuse is seeking a Security Project Manager to oversee deployments for residential, commercial, and enterprise clients. You will lead projects using Motorola, Alarm.com, Kidde, Verkada, DSC and other platforms, coordinating teams and delivering on schedule.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, client communication, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards while maintaining a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working outdoors on active job sites
• Travel regionally & work extended hours as required
• Maintain a clean, professional image with customers
• Pass drug screen and background check to meet licensing requirements
• OSHA certification (OSHA 10/30) and NICET Level 1+ are a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of commercial and large residential security and fire system installation projects in Syracuse and surrounding regions
• Handle advanced service calls and technical escalations, and perform basic IT troubleshooting when required
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, field technicians, subcontractors, and central management
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, ensure quality control
• Manage project schedules, procurement, budgeting and field resource allocation
• Ensure installations conform to codes, regulations and client specs

This position is 100% onsite and reports to our Syracuse office, with regional travel to client job sites.

Salary Range

$80,000 per year – $100,000 per year, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of commercial and large residential security and fire system installation projects throughout the Syracuse area and surrounding regions
• Handle advanced service calls and technical escalations, performing basic IT troubleshooting, network configuration, and server replacements when required
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, field technicians, subcontractors, and central management to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, maintain quality control, and address technical challenges on-site
• Manage project schedules, material procurement, budgeting, and field resource allocation for maximum efficiency
• Ensure all installations conform to applicable codes, industry regulations, and client specifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites – occasionally in inclement weather
• Comfortable navigating construction environments, ladder work areas, and mechanical spaces during site walks
• Must maintain a clean, professional image with external and internal customers
• Ability to travel regionally & work extended hours as required to keep projects on schedule
• Must possess and maintain a clear driver's license and safe driving record
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, SharePoint) proficiency
• Successfully clear drug screen and background check to meet industry and security licensing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, 2-year associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent military experience
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in the physical security industry (or similar field) serving as a Technician, Sales Specialist, or Project Manager
• Hands‑on familiarity or design experience with platforms such as Motorola, Alarm.com, Kidde, Verkada, DMP, and DSC systems
• OSHA certification (OSHA 10/30) and/or NICET Level 1 or higher is a plus
• Familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus
• Strong leadership, conflict‑resolution, and organizational skills
