As a Security Professional - Access Specialist in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Access Control Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will interact with the public, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, working together with integrity and a people-first approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.10 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime

Mon 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

Wed 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Sun 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required.

Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required for driving positions.
  • A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required for driving positions.
  • At least 6 months of prior security experience is required.
  • Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
